Targets 2nd Fail

Well, you probably read my humor post, Target’s Fail. Yesterday, I went to target to see their blackfriday deals. Wow, a DVD, 7 dollars off. Such a great deal! Ooohh! 5 dollars off that horribly-rated Bolt Dog game..

That’s normal for Target. Then I walk around and see the brand new guitar hero game… 50% off.. That’s major fail. Its really stupid to put a game thats 100 dollars for 50. Oh well, their loss (I’m guessing they ordered it for around 80-90.. Imagine selling it for 50. The idiots..) and right now I’m rockin. Next black friday, try to get this. Horrid sales; except for one.

Snowy Update

You probably know about my WIP, Snowy. Just now you know I’m almost done. I finished the 4th boss and am working on the final boss.. He will be epic…

So that Snowy’s almost done, I want to start another project. I’ll give you three hints about it. I won’t reveal too much, since I only worked on it for 20 minutes.. 15 of that was spriting a basic boat (hint one)..  And right now I only have a few lines of code. It involves a speedboat that must manoever a course (sigh, hint two) and race against the other boats on this course. (that’s the three hints I’m giving..)

Its called “Speedboat Madness”. (based on scetches I made when I was in preschool when I wanted to make a video game.. Go figure, right?? I wanted to make video games in preschool, look at me now.. lol) So I will fulfill my lifelong dream. (Why didn’t I think of this before?!?)

Dream Turning Into A Nightmare Competition

I decided to host my first competition..

First, here are the prizes:

1st place: Game on the front page, website featured on the front page, website gets its own page, special banner

2nd place: Game on the front page, website featured on the front page, special banner

3rd place: Game on the front page, special banner

Okay, you like the prizes. Your website advertized on a website that gets 80+ unique visitors a week, your game advertized on it, and of course, who DOESN’T like banners?

Ok, whats the theme? Dream turning into a nightmare.. So something like: I love to eat chocolate cake, but one day I got buried alive in chocolate cake, and have to climb through the 100 mile mountain to save my life.

Okay, cool right? When’s the competition over? Its over February 15. It will be judged by me and two other judges (who I haven’t picked yet.) and the weight of the judging will be: me 40% judge 1 30% and judge 2 30%. Okay, you know all that, how do you get your game entered? Make sure that your game says “made for the GMU competition” or something like that INGAME and upload it to yoyogames with the tag “GMUC1″ and then comment here to tell you finished. Judges may not enter. The game must be 12 megabytes or under.. Simple enough? How many entries can you have? One… Any other questions? Just comment them.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Though here in America, Thanksgiving isn’t till tommorow, I might not get a chance to say this to all tommorow.

Since most countries doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving, I thought I’d say the story of Thanksgiving:

A long long time ago, people hopped on the Mayflower. The Mayflower came to the “New World” (America) and then half the crew died of sickness during the harsh winter. Then, they met Squanto, a Native-American who helped them by teaching them how to fish and grow corn and much more. Then they had a huge party and invited all the Native Americans (and the Thanksgiving you have or see on TV was way different- you don’t have duck, do you?) and then they said “Thanks” and since then, we Americans celebrate Thanksgiving every year on the last Thursday of November.

Heartwarming story, no? lol

Target’s Fail

Yep. Target’s Fail. That’s F-A-I-L. Fail. I was at target tonight, and was walking right by the electronics section.

Now, if you have ever been to Target, you know they have specific rows like: x=xbox p=ps3 w=wii t=tv

That chart is what the target I go to is like… Well, I was at A. I heard mario music playing and I was like “oh yea, what mario game are they advertising this time?” So I walked towards the wii section (W) and noticed: the noise was coming from the PS3 section?!?!?!?!

I looked and… FAIL. EPIC fail… There it was, a nice TV playing wii comericals. I checked and… Yup, MGS was on the Wii TV?? How do you spell Fail?

There’s 2 ways:

F-A-I-L

and

T-A-R-G-E-T.

And I smiled and giggled a bit…. And thought FAIL to myself.

So if you own a target and are hiring, when you interview, ask these questions: (and here’s the answers you want to hire someone)

Cool Wittle Website #1

I decided to make a little mini-thing that I post sometimes. Cool Wittle Websites are different from the website reviews and website showdowns (or whatever I called them). This is because “Cool Wittle Websites” are quick little sites that you show your friends and maybe visit 2 minutes a day. So what’s the first one? My Mini City. On the website My Mini City, you, uh, well.. Create a mini city…. And its yours… So…. Anyways, your city starts as a farm, and grows a bit every time someone visits your Mini City.

(well, the point here is kinda confusing: p=# of people viewing your mini city. P could=50. Now say that of those 50, 25 of them came back again. Nothing would happen, P would still be 50.)
